We had a great weekend at the shop.  Friday was a Pirate Party, and Saturday was the open house. The open house went great, we had lots of great food, cool new people to hang out with, and projects were worked on.  Bob bought some crazy robots, Brian made T-Shirts, Matt worked on a crazy awesome iPod movie script, David grilled out, and new people showed up.  The open house was a great success and I can’t wait to do another one.

Friday I went to the shop and worked on wiki stuff. Saturday was about the same. Sunday I stopped by while waiting for Tandy to get done with her other obligations. We had decided the night before to drive to Decatur for balloon rides. Although we didn’t get to go on a long ride we did get to go up in a hot air balloon.

I must say it is kind of freakish when your standing right next to a balloon and it starts filling up with hot air. They stand up and feel almost like they are going to fall over. But they don’t, they just stand there looking awesome. Then off they go riding the air waves. Its spectacular to see. I would have to say the coolest balloon we saw was the Energizer Bunny. I watched a discovery channel show about it a few months back. Apparently it is the worlds largest hot air balloon. Take a look at all the picture I took. It was a really fun day. My Flickr

There I inserted $1.25 and hit the Mountain Dew Code Red button. To my surprise Grapico came out. Can this be a good sign or a bad one, only time will tell.

  • A picture of a wifi network, what a great idea. It would be cool if this could be converted into a screen saver.

  • This is a nice tutorial for doing some craziness in photoshop. I wish I could use photoshop better, but I guess thats why I have friends who are good with it.
  • A list a great wordpress plugins is always nice to have. This list seems to be all there, with some great stuff I will have to implement once I get some time.
  • This new Web2.0 app looks like it might be great. If I could only get a Calendar that was easy to use and had rss that updated everyday. Thats what I need. I check rss more than I check email, and if bills are due….boom rss tells me…what a way to organize.
