Do you remember those High School based movies you loved, like Dazed and Confused, The Breakfast Club, and American Pie. Well its time to add another one to that list. Charlie Bartlett is one of those types of movies, but really I thought much funnier. Its about a kid who basically becomes a psychiatrist to all the kinds in his high school. By doing so he becomes very popular and looses his virginity in the back seat of half a car. I just had to throw that last one it there because it seemed a little out of place in the movie, but then again it made for a great scene afterwards. Robert Downey Jr. is the principle in the movie and well he is a drunk, so he played the part great. Also Kat Dennings is hot.

Ryan Reynolds is a great actor. He was awesome in “Two Guys, A Girl, and A Pizza Place” and is still awesome. Yes this movie was definitely a chick flick. But you know what? It was a great chick flick. It wasn’t to soft. I enjoyed it. There were some things that happened which pissed me off. Mostly the fact that he talked to his ex’s and even went to see them. But I guess all guys do that. I’m still giving this movie a good score because it had hot chicks and Ryan Reynolds in it. Not that I have a think for Ryan Reynolds….oh damn…you know I’m going to stop right here.

Kate Hudson in a swim suit how much sweeter can a movie get. I love that girl. Anywho, the movie was alright. Not great and not bad. It was your run of the mill adventure/love story type of movie. The acting between Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson was pretty damn good. They make a good team. The only problem I had was the movie didn’t play enough off the sex joke that was emphasized a lot in the trailers. I figured there would be more jokes about it, but I was wrong. All in all its was alright.

What a shit movie. It comes in a little over 2.5 hours long and in that 2.5 hours you learn absolutely nothing. There is actually a scene in the movie that is 5 minutes long where all we see is a man hug his son then walk with him. This movie was so boring I couldn’t even make fun of it. Seriously it wouldn’t even make a good Mystery Science Theater 3000.  I feel giving this move a 1/2 a star is way to much.  I like to watch movies for entertainment not for some underlining saying about how screwed up people are.  This movie might have some great underlining stories, but as far an entertainment goings it is shit.
